David Bailey's World of Tessellations

Hi, I'm David Bailey from Grimsby, England, with a keen interest in recreational mathematics, of a mostly geometrical nature, and more specifically all aspects of tessellation. This includes both the mathematical side, with 'pure' tessellations, as well as Escher-like, with an approximate 50/50 split of interest. As well as a general overview of both aspects there are also 'special case' investigations, with 'pure' tessellations such as the Cairo tiling, Parquet Deformation, and houndstooth, and Escher-like, with my own (and others) Escher-like tessellations as well as numerous essays on Escher himself, and cluster puzzles. This website is thus dedicated to showing my efforts and research in the field.
